I didn't know many of the particulars of the story of Ted Kennedy and Mary Jo Kopechne. It sounds like a politically powerful man got drunk, had an accident, caused the death of another human being, and was able to successfully escape blame by his own silence and the silence of his friends. This year's Democratic convention in Boston will honor Ted Kennedy for his many years of service. There will be no tours from the convention to the bridge in Chappaquiddick.[Permalink] (0) comments
