Thomas Sowell comments today on the Bill Cosby rant and reactions to it. As you know, Tom Sowell is one of the wisest men in America and it is evident again here. Common sense says that if you give a person (especially a young person) an excuse to fail, the chances of failure increase dramatically. Those who make excuses for black kids are helping no one but themselves. Here's the final paragraph:So what if the social pathologies in the black community grew far worse after liberal doctrines became government policies in the 1960s? The vision is what matters to the left -- and the opportunities it presents for them to be clever with words.
