Captain's Quarters (another fantastic Minnesota Blogger) has a great summary of Kerry's traveling comedy tour from the weekend.One of Kerry's big deals is that he says he's the guy to get all the other countries in the world to like us again. Apparently his method of doing this is to insult all of our existing allies. The Captain notes:
"[Kerry] called the contributions of allies such as Britain, Italy, Poland, and South Korea "the phoniest thing I've ever heard," saying that they had "500 troops here and 500 troops there," despite these countries having thousands of troops -- especially Britain, which stations tens of thousands in Iraq and had 40,000 at the beginning of the war fighting alongside America. "
I couldn't make this stuff up if I tried.
